Moustache

Like a grown-up coloring book, but more addictive

And by "grown-up", I mean males in their late 20s who have sneaker fetishes. And by males in their late 20s who have sneaker fetishes, I mean of course myself. In case you've wondered why I haven't updated the ol' blog in forever, it's because I found a set of Nike shoe templates all chopped up and ready for Photoshop. It's unbelievably addicting. Now I want someone at Nike to go out and make me one pair each of these* in a size 11. Thanks.

* Warnings: That link has a lot of pretty big pictures in them. Also, there is a lot of teal. Also, I've only done Nike Dunks so far. Next week, that link may be over 20 GB as I move on to other shoes.

Jacob Borshard

Jacob BorshardIt must be really hard to write a bad pop song with a ukulele, because I've enjoyed every ukulele song I've ever heard. Jacob Borshard keeps the streak of quality ukulele pop alive with The Last Brontosaurus, which he has been so kind as to make available in it's entirety on his site. For free. That's 12 great pop songs for the price of none. I actually had a hard time picking wich song to link to, so I asked my wife, and she said that while they are all pretty good, "Grass Stains" is best. So there you go.

Napster is now (kind of) free (again)

So remember back in the day how you could download whatever you wanted in your dorm room's T1 line? Napster very nearly flunked me out of college. And I will forever be grateful to them for that. Fast forward a couple of years. In a desperate move to gain some ground on iTunes, they are are allowing you to listen to every song in their catalog 5 times before you have to buy it. Plus they have some nice little features like internet links, so I can link to Captain & Tennille all I want on my blog. Also, their free player is Flash based, so it works just as nice on a Mac as a PC. And I didn't have to give them any credit card info to register. Really, I can't imagine how they could have done this better. Kudos to you, big megacorp that bought the dead Napster brand.
