Yahoo Answers
About two hours ago I decided to take a look at Yahoo Answers, the newly launched service that is "a place where people ask each other questions on any topic, and get answers by sharing facts, opinions, and personal experiences." So I start browsing the questions, and next thing I know, I'm reading all about Labradoodles, lame venture funding requests, and scrapbooking. Ross Mayfield said "it's like blogging for question people and like Friendster for answer people. " I think it's more like Wikipedia Shuffle. Or maybe it's the ideal implementation of the Lazy Web.
And speaking of the Lazy Web, here's a Lazy Web request: can someone do a scorecard of all the products Google and Yahoo have rolled out over the past year? Because I'm thinking that Yahoo is just creaming Google right now. Everything they seem to launch is polished, unique and timely. Google's efforts are scattered and incomplete by comparison.
