Andrew Bird
I know his latest album came out all the way back in February, but I didn't realize how amazing Andrew Bird's The Mysterious Production of Eggs was until this last weekend. There are just a ton of really solid songs on here. I saw him open for My Morning Jacket a few years ago and his live show is jaw-droppingly impressive. Most of the songs consisted solely of looped violin tracks which he recorded live building up each song one loop at a time. Also the dude may be the most underrated whistler in inde rock.
