Nintendo has officially lost their minds
And I'm loving it! In case you have missed the big news, Nintendo just released the controller for their upcoming Revolution gaming system. There has been a lot of speculation over the past few months about what this was going to look like, but not even the craziest ideas were close. How rare is that? The real controller is a two piece wireless unit with 3D tracking. There is a standard remote control looking unit and then detachable second units. This is just insane. One of my biggest pet peeves with gaming consoles has been what could be called Gillette Syndrome. Instead of innovating, console makers just add more buttons to the standard candy bar controller. Nintendo has consistently been the only company willing to move past that, with experiments like the old Power Pad and more recently the great Bongos.
Looking at the reaction from Engadget's post though, people aren't really feeling the love. Those people can stick with their boring first person shooters while I get jiggy with the Revolution. And for those of you who think I'm crazy for wanting to name my first-born child Nintendo, who's crazy now?! Oh, I guess that'd still be me.

Even though Ed Davis isn't a household name, one who looks deeper at his production will know that he's got the talent and potential to be just as productive as Ibaka. Per 36 minutes Ibaka averaged 13.2 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. Ed Davis averaged 11.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per 36 minutes. While Ibaka was clearly better last season, Ed Davis was also pretty solid as a rookie.
